What we collect, in plain English.

What we collect
When you sign up for the Vault Catalyst Summer 2026 Analyst Cohort, we collect:
- Email address (for login and communication)
- Password (stored encrypted; we never see it in plain text)
- Full name, college, graduation year, major (so we know who you are)
- Country, phone number, LinkedIn URL (optional, for admin communication)
- Your thesis, market map, memo, and other task submissions
- Founder call logs you submit (founder names, companies, your debrief notes)
- Outreach logs you track (founder names, emails sent, replies)
- Squad membership and referral activity
- Video URL (if you submit one)
What we don't collect
- We don't run analytics or tracking pixels on your dashboard
- We don't sell your data. Ever.
- We don't share your personal info with third parties except the GP network for the purposes of distributing your memo (and only with your approval)
- We don't store your founder-call recordings (we don't ask for them)
Who can see what
- You, see everything in your own account.
- Other analysts, see your public handle, college, sector, and rank on the leaderboard. They don't see your full name, email, memos, or founder calls.
- Vault Catalyst team, sees everything, so we can review memos, pick the top 3, and spot-check founder calls.
- GPs in our partner network, see only the memos that pass advisor-panel review at Week 8, and only with your prior approval.
Storage
Your data is stored in Supabase (Postgres, hosted on AWS us-east-1). We use row-level security to isolate your account from other users at the database level. Passwords are hashed using Argon2id (industry standard).
Your rights
- Correct your data: sign in and edit your profile any time.
Cookies
We use a single essential cookie (vc_session) to keep you logged in. No analytics cookies, no tracking, no third-party cookies.
